Ackley is described as a pimply, insecure boy with poor dental hygeine. This actor also plays the character "Sinjin" is the nickolodean show Victorious who holds these traits and could be described as a friend who is annoying and yet the other characters still converse with him.
Dave Franco is known for playing roles of popular, good-looking individuals (specifcally teenagers) so he felt an appropriate match of Stradlater.
Although she is currently not an appropriate age to play Pheobe and her hair is not the bright red described in the novel, Miranda Cosgrove has played "the younger sister" on two hit shows- Drake and Josh and iCarly- and in both shows, much like Pheobe, she plays a mature role despite being the younger sister.
Most well known as "Sheldon" on the Big Bang Theory, I feel he could play Mr.Antolini because he can pull off the role of a character who is intelligiant but slightly "off".
Bernice is a blonde girl that Holden dances with. She was also noted for her good dance skills but bad conversational skills. Ashley Tisdale can physically pull off this role and she can dance.
Ernie had a very small part in the novel but he was the piano player at the bar Holden went to. Holden was disgusted by him because he stood up and bowed after he played his music and he was described as a colored man so I think Bill Cosby is a good match because he likes music I think and hes an amazing actor.
Devon Bostick plays the older brother in Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rodrick, who the main character somewhat looks up to and yet despises. For this reason I chose Devon Bostick to play D.B Caulfield.
Allie was described as a red-head and mostly for this reason I chose a young Rupert Grint to play Allie. Furthermore, he is familiar acting with the innocence of a child since he played the character of Ron all throughout his youth.
Sunny is a prostitute that Holden calls for but does not follow through with. For the fact that she is a prostitute, I have chosen Jennifer Lawrence because I feel like she could pull off the role well with her personilty.
While he is no longer living and more commonly known for his comedic acting, the character Mr. Spencer reminded me of that of the protaganist teacher in The Dead Poet's Society which is why I chose Robin Williams as an actor in this movie.
Logan Lerman is the actor of the main charcter in Perks of Being a Wallflower, who is much like Holden. He is confused with where he's going in life and although he is intelligent, he doesn't always make wise choices. For these reasons, Logan Lerman is well ft to play Holden Caulfield.
Maurice suggests a prostitute and later beats Holden up and steal five dollars. Alan Rickman, better known as "Snape" is really shady so he could pull of the role of Maurice.
Ben Affleck is a good looking guy that could easily play off the role of Carl Luce. This character was only met once in the novel when Holden met up with him for drinks. Holden asks him sexual questions and then Carl leaves. Ben Affleck gives me the vibe of this character.
Sally Hayes is claimed to be attractive with a girl next door qualilty to her. Julianne Hough has these traits and could pull off this role of a good-looking girl who is more conservative in her manners than Holden.
Jane is well respected by Holden and she is thought of as attractive. Anne Hathaway is good for this role because she is very versatile in the people she can play so she could undoubtly play the role and also apperance-wise she is that of Jane Gallagher.
